This free online learning course introduces healthcare professionals to haemato-oncology concepts to help them better manage the care of people with blood cancer. Whether you're a nurse, an allied healthcare professional, or have just qualified as a doctor, our course has something for everyone.

Cost:The course is free.
Type of learning:It involves individual learning that you can do at your own pace and knowledge test quizzes.
Length of course:We estimate that the course will take five hours to complete and you can stop and start at any time and save your progress.
Certification:Once the course is complete, you can update your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and receive a certificate of completion. The course can also be used for Written Reflective Accounts for NMC revalidation.
Overview of modules:Over 11 modules, our course provides a basic understanding of what blood cancers are, signs and symptoms to look out for during treatment provision, a healthcare professional's role in managing emergency or non-emergency situations and the intricacies of holistic nursing care for blood cancer patients.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, you will:
- Have a foundation-level knowledge of basic haemato-oncological principles
- Feel better equipped to assist the multidisciplinary team and improve the quality of care patients receive
- Be armed with the knowledge to be able to identify common complications and efficiently respond to emergencies
