This document has been developed over the past nine months in partnership with Skills for Care and has been tested through stakeholder engagement events, consultations with external stakeholders.

The purpose of this document is to support and enhance the role of social work in health and care organisations. It outlines eight organisational requirements for effective support of the social work profession in mental health services wherever they may work.
