Foundations of Strategic Communications

The Foundations of Strategic Communications course is designed to equip participants with the essential tools and strategies needed to communicate effectively within technical environments. The course covers a wide range of topics, from understanding your audience to mastering both verbal and nonverbal communication cues. Participants will learn how to convey complex information with clarity and confidence, enhancing their communication skills at every level. The course is structured into four comprehensive modules, each focusing on different aspects of strategic communication, including technical communication foundations, audience analysis, leadership communications, and communication styles.

Course Description (Short): This course provides essential strategies for effective communication in technical environments, focusing on audience understanding, verbal and nonverbal cues, and leadership communication.

Course Format: The course is divided into four modules, each containing lessons and module-end assessments. The format includes reading materials, practical exercises, and assessments to reinforce learning.

• AEC1 L3: You communicate effectively with technical staff, and influence and educate non-technical stakeholders.

• AEC1 L4: You listen to the needs of business stakeholders and effectively interpret those needs into technical action.

• AEC1 L4: You effectively manage stakeholder expectations.

• AEC1 L4: You manage active and reactive communication with positive effect.
