The Data Visualization basics course will help you learn how to make sense of data by creating informative and engaging reports and dashboards. You will be using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, R, and Python to generate visualizations. By the end of this course, you will have a clear-cut understanding of how to derive meaningful conclusions from data.
The video lectures and hands-on activities in this course will introduce you to popular data visualization software, including:
- Tableau: A versatile business intelligence and analytics tool for building interactive data visualizations. You'll learn fundamental Tableau skills like connecting to data sources, building charts/graphs, and creating dashboards.
- Power BI: Microsoft's data visualization software for visualizing, analyzing, and sharing insights. The course covers how to import, clean, and model data, as well as build reports and dashboards in Power BI.
- Excel: Microsoft's ubiquitous spreadsheet software also contains powerful built-in tools for crafting charts, graphs, and dashboards from datasets.
- ggplot2: This R programming package allows you to customize publication-quality data visualizations using code. The course will take you through ggplot2 fundamentals.
