Against a backdrop of armed conflictand geo-political instability, medicaleducation becomes a dauntingchallenge. As a UK GP with aprofessedinterest in educational leadership inareas of inequality, I was sent a call foreducational support that originatedfrom the Dean of the internationalmedical school at the Arab AmericanUniversity in Palestine. This requestunravelled the challenges facing his
students, institute, and the healthcaresystem at large while in the middleof war. It is a narrative of resilienceamid chaos, where thecontinuity ofundergraduate medical educationhangs precariously in the balance,overshadowed by infrastructuredamage, resource scarcity, and apervasive threat to personal safety.
