- know the definition of an 'adult at risk'.
- recognise the different types of abuse and their signs.
- understand your role and responsibility with regard to suspicion or disclosure of abuse.
- understand and be able to carry out the procedures for reporting abuse.
- be aware of the issues of 'capacity and consent'.
- be able to make an alert to appropriate standards.
