Improved self-efficacy in human factors skills in early-stage psychiatric trainees following online simulation: a quantitative comparison study with in-person training (Bansal et al., 2023)

Aims: To assess for significant course evaluation measure differences between in-person and online participants attending an Simulation-based education (SBE) course for early-stage psychiatric doctors.

Method: The research conducted a quantitative comparison study, evaluating changes in self-efficacy among early-stage psychiatric trainees.

Findings: Online simulation training led to improved self-efficacy in human factors skills among early-stage psychiatric trainees, which were comparable to those achieved through traditional in-person training.

Contributions: The findings suggest that online training can be a viable and effective alternative to in-person training, providing flexibility and accessibility without compromising skill development.
