AHP - Virtual Reality Insight Videos
These films use the latest immersive 360-degree virtual reality (VR) technology and are narrated by the clinicians themselves. They provide an inspiring informative and vivid insight into six of the 14 AHP professions. The films have been created to show a typical day in the life of a podiatrist, orthoptist, prosthetist and orthotist, dietitian, therapeutic radiographer and speech and language therapist. You can navigate your way around the environment looking at the work undertaken by each profession. Within each video you can click on shorter films to immerse yourself further into the role of each profession.
The project is part of NHS England’s AHP programme’s strategy to improve the supply of AHPs to help deliver the ambitions of the NHS Long Term Plan. The virtual reality content has been designed to work in a web browser but is best viewed in a virtual reality headset such as Google Cardboard or Oculus Go.
