Safeguarding Adults Level 2 including Complex Needs and Mental Capacity Act Level 2 -To allow participants to describe what constitutes abuse and the potential impact of abuse on an adult’s life. -To enable participants to identify factors which contribute to vulnerability and gain an understanding of safeguarding thresholds for intervention. -To enable participants to describe their responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk. - To promote effective interagency working. -To ensure participants understand their duty to share information where an adult may be at risk. - To promote effective communication and engagement with families and adults at risk. - To ensure participants understand principles of MCA, and processes for assessing capacity, determining best interests and least restrictive options. - Understand what is and what is not a learning disability and what is autism. Audience- All staff who have substantial contact with patients.
