Recommended Summary Plan for Emergency Care and Treatment (ReSPECT) Awarenesstraining is aimed at staff across health and social care organisations that come into contact with patients/service users. The purpose of this training is to provide you with an understanding of ReSPECT and what to do in an emergency. The learning objectives for this training are:

  1. To recognise To recognise & understand the remit of the ReSPECT process and form
  2. To respond appropriately to a patient with a ReSPECT form in an emergency
  3. To understand the changes to the existing countywide DNACPR policy and forms
  4. To work through an example clinical scenario to help identify where a ReSPECT conversation could be appropriate for an individual
