By the end of this module, you will:

  • know the definition of an 'adult at risk'.
  • recognise the different types of abuse and their signs.
  • understand your role and responsibility with regard to suspicion or disclosure of abuse.
  • understand and be able to carry out the procedures for reporting abuse.
  • be aware of the issues of 'capacity and consent'.
  • be able to make an alert to appropriate standards.
