Fraud Awareness
This course will provide you with an overall understanding in what fraud, bribery and corruption is and how we are all responsible for our actions. Anyone can commit fraud against the NHS, often driven by personal greed or need. Fraud takes money away from patient care and services, which is unacceptable.
Each year, over a billion pounds is at risk due to fraud, bribery, and corruption from a small minority of patients, staff, contractors, and suppliers. The NHS Counter Fraud Authority leads efforts to combat this crime nationally, while Local Counter Fraud Specialists work within the health service to raise awareness, prevent fraud, and investigate suspicious activity.
