This digital resource is a video aimed at ward staff on how to complete a mouth care assessment for all paediatric in-patients. It informs in how staff can support children and young people to maintain good oral health whilst staying in hospital.

This video is for all medical and allied healthcare professionals, and has been developed within Alder Hey with the intention of being used in conjunction with the Mini MCM hospital e-learning package.

This video have been developed to raise awareness and knowledge of mouthcare, and promote the importance of good quality daily oral health care for all paediatric in-patients with stay of more 24hours. Staff focus groups were held to gain staff input and involvement in the development of these videos.

his video has been developed as part of Mini Mouth Care Matters programme in Alder Hey with support of funding from Liverpool City Council and Alder Hey Charities. Staff focus groups were held to obtain staff input and involvement in the development of these videos.

The filming took place within Alder Hey hospital.
