The arrows point to Lactobacillus ( Doderlein bacillus) which are the most common non-pathogenic inhabitant of the vagina.

These aerobic, Gram +ve rods produce enzymes which lead to the cytolysis of glycogen producing cells (intermediate squamous cells). Seen predominantly during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and in pregnancy.
