This session focuses on C for circulation as the 3rd stage of the ABCDE assessment approach. Understanding the anatomy and pathophysiology of the circulatory system is essential for understanding the results of your assessment, so this is covered at the start of the session and leads onto the use and interpretation of an ECG. Circulatory shock is a significant cause of acute deterioration and the types of shock and their management are also covered in this session, with concentration on sepsis.
