ESNEFT Arterial Blood Gas Study Day

Aim of the course is to
- revisit basic respiratory A&P
- recognise a normal arterial blood gas result
- recognise when a result is abnormal and have a basic understanding of why and when to escalate
- relate blood gas results to the types of patients you are likely to see in your clinical areas
- Understand safe technique and have practiced using the training arms.
- Understand the ABG policy and competencies and who can sign off your skills
