Learn to source, format, and present data securely for analysis in various sectors. This apprenticeship covers data communication, analysis, blending, and ethical principles.

Learning Objectives

- Collate and format data for processing and presentation.
- Present data for review and analysis.
- Blend data from various sources.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data.
- Validate results of analysis.
- Communicate results verbally and through technical documentation.
- Store, manage, and share data securely.
- Collaborate with people internally and externally.
- Practice continuous self-learning to keep up to date with technological developments.
Teaches you:
- DAC2 L1 You understand the data sources for your work; their types, provenance, context, storage and 'owners'
- DAC2 L1 You recognize basic issues of data quality and can take action with guidance to prevent or counteract them
- DAC2 L1You understand whether data is 'fit for purpose' and can sense check data and analysis.
- DAC2 L1You approach data and analysis with curiosity and ask questions of the data and its context.
- DAC2 L1You perform data extraction and manipulation.
- DAC2 L1You understand how to summarise data and can explain what the different measures mean.
- DAC2 L1You understand how to plot data visually to display snapshots, time series and variance.
- DAC2 L1You can follow and contribute to practices and procedures describing the production of regular analyses and reports.
