The Foundations of Strategic Communications course is designed to equip participants with the essential tools and strategies needed to communicate effectively within technical environments. The course covers a wide range of topics, from understanding your audience to mastering both verbal and nonverbal communication cues. Participants will learn how to convey complex information with clarity and confidence, enhancing their communication skills at every level. The course is structured into four comprehensive modules, each focusing on different aspects of strategic communication, including technical communication foundations, audience analysis, leadership communications, and communication styles.

DXC1 L4: You can translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences so they are understood by all

DXC2 L4: You can draw together, analyse and evaluate qualitative and quantitative data

DXC3 L3: You can incorporate a wide variety of views from underrepresented groups into product and policy work, using in-depth consulting and outreach strategies

DEC1 L1: You understand the need to translate technical concepts into non-technical language and can maintain established communication channels from the data engineering staff to internal and external stakeholders.

DEC1 L2: You can effectively communicate to and between technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitate discussions within a multidisciplinary team, with some potentially difficult dynamics.

DEC1 L3: You understand the needs of technical and business stakeholders and interpret them into technical requirements which can be implemented.
