Overview
Differential Attainment (DA) refers to systematic differences in outcomes between groups based on shared characteristics (most significantly country of primary medical qualification, but also other factors including ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability). In the context of Postgraduate Medical Education it has been recognised for many years, and much work has been done by NHSE, GMC and others to reduce the attainment gap.
The overarching aim of this fellowship was to support the work of NHSE WTE West Midlands in addressing Differential Attainment in the region.
