Assessing medicines support needs in adult social care: case studies
Certificate available: complete this course to be awarded a certificate
This elearning session presents scenarios to help adult social care professionals apply their knowledge of assessing medicines support needs. Learners are guided through case studies involving conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy and wound care, with a focus on identifying time-sensitive medicines, understanding the implications of missed doses and ensuring responsibilities for ordering and administering medicines are clearly documented. The session supports those involved in care planning to make safe, person-centred decisions and to recognise when to escalate concerns or seek clinical advice.
