Assessing medicines support needs in adult social care

This elearning session guides social care professionals in assessing an individual's medicines support needs as part of a broader evaluation of care preferences and capabilities. Learners will explore how to identify when support is required, enable self-management through reasonable adjustments, and develop person-centred care plans that reflect legal and professional responsibilities under the Care Act (2014) and NICE guidance. Aimed at those involved in adult social care assessments, the session also covers referral processes, risk management, and appropriate delegation of medicines administration.
