Breast Awareness for Healthcare Professionals

As the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, CoppaFeel! are on a mission to get every young person checking their chest.
 
We want all young people to know the signs of breast cancer and to go to their GP if they notice any changes to their chest. We do this because when breast cancer is diagnosed early, treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection saves lives.

We want to support healthcare professionals and trainees to confidently deliver breast awareness as part of health promotion for their patients.

This module, which is worth 1 hour of CPD, supports you to identify key breast cancer statistics, explain the principles of breast awareness and describe signs of breast cancer, as well as how to check.

The module also covers information about broader subjects of relevance to healthcare professionals, such as health inequities, when to make referrals, identifying opportunities to have the chest check chat and signposting patients to key resources.
