Early intervention in psychosis

The Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Outcome Measures module is an online training resource designed to help EIP services use patient-reported outcome tools. It supports clinicians to understand the outcome measures used in EIP and how to use them in practice. The module includes a single elearning session with team-based activities. 

 

Intended audience 

This module is for all staff working in Early Intervention in Psychosis services, including: 

  • Clinicians in EIP teams 

  • Mental health professionals supporting people with psychosis 

  • Team leaders and service managers 

  • Staff responsible for collecting and reporting outcome measures 

  • Practitioners interested in improving the use of outcome tools

  • What the three recommended EIP outcome tools are: HoNOS, QPR and DIALOG

Learning objectives 

By the end of the module, learners will be able to: 

  • Describe the purpose of patient-reported outcome measures in EIP 

  • Recognise the three recommended tools (HoNOS, QPR and DIALOG) 

  • Identify common barriers to collecting outcome data 

  • Apply strategies to improve the use and reporting of outcome measures 

  • Understand how outcome tools support national EIP standards 

  • Work with their team to build shared confidence and consistency in using the measures
