Principles of Inclusive Clinical Leadership Practice - E-Learning Package
Context
Workforce inequalities and health disparities continue to persist across healthcare settings, affecting workplaces, learning environments, and patient care. Inclusive clinical leadership is a critical enabler in addressing these challenges. It underpins the successful delivery of the NHS EDI Improvement Plan and the NHS Educator Workforce Programme, aligning closely with the NHS Healthcare Leadership Model.
This approach is also consistent with the ambitions set out in the NHS 10‑Year Health Plan for England and the forthcoming NHS 10‑Year Workforce Plan, reinforcing the need for coordinated, system‑wide action to build a more inclusive and equitable healthcare workforce.
Developed in collaboration
Clinical leaders responded to a national call for collaborators on inclusive clinical leadership practice, with representation from the following regions: Midlands, North East and Yorkshire, North West, and South West.
Leaders explored current challenges and opportunities for training and learning, guided by an experienced subject matter expert and supported by the project team. Insights from this collaboration informed the content development, and a Digital Learning Designer created the package, embedding inclusive pedagogy throughout.
