Learning Disability Nursing CPD Award

The Learning Disability Nursing CPD Award is a continuing professional development programme designed to strengthen and enhance the knowledge and skills of learning disability nurses. It supports both refresher learning and progression into advanced and specialist roles, and also provides nurses from other fields with essential understanding of learning disability nursing. The programme consists of a foundation module, followed by three specialist clinical pathways.

• Learning disability nurses seeking continuing professional development 

• Learning disability nurses looking to progress into specialist or advanced roles 

• Nurses from other fields who want to build core knowledge in learning disability nursing

• Specialist knowledge and skills across inpatient, community, forensic, intensive support, primary and acute liaison settings
