The NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) Social Value Training Programme is designed for anyone involved in procurement, contract management and sustainability across the NHS in London to enhance their understanding of social value. This programme’s objective is to support the assessment and delivery of social value in tenders and contracts using the pan-London Social Value Toolkit, in line with the PPN 06/20 requirement to allocate a minimum of 10% to social value award criteria in qualifying NHS tenders.

The aim of this training programme is to:
-  give you an awareness and understanding of social value
-  enable you to set up projects using the pan-London Social Value Tool
-  demonstrate how best to evaluate and score social value bid responses
-  guide you to track and monitor social value delivery in live contracts effectively

Who can access NHS LPP’s Social Value Training Programme?

Whilst the training modules have been created with a focus on London as a region, access is not limited to NHS LPP members or other NHS colleagues in London. Anyone who works elsewhere for the NHS can view and use the training modules provided if they wish to.

About NHS LPP

NHS LPP is one of four national NHS procurement hubs, serving the health community in London and beyond. Our members extend across the acute, community and mental health sectors, as well as primary care and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs).
We support our members and other trusts to make sustainable decisions that help keep our money in the NHS and invested where it matters - on our valuable frontline staff, services and most importantly, patients.
This training has been developed by NHS LPP’s Sustainability and Social Value team in collaboration with procurement and sustainability teams across the NHS in London.
