Cleaning for Confidence
The Cleaning for Confidence programme comprises four elearning sessions designed to strengthen understanding of effective cleaning practices across NHS settings. The programme supports all NHS staff in reducing cross-infection risks and promoting safer environments for patients, service users, and colleagues.
The programme reinforces the essential role that every member of the NHS workforce plays in maintaining clean, safe spaces, and highlights the importance of cleaning as a core defence against infections, including COVID-19 and other healthcare-associated infections.
All participants who complete the programme become cleaning champions, recognising their commitment to maintaining safety in clinical and non-clinical environments.
Intended audience
The programme is aimed at all NHS staff, clinical and non-clinical, who contribute to maintaining clean, safe healthcare environments across all settings.
