This course provides NHS commercial staff with an introduction to the key areas relevant to their role. It includes an overview of the NHS, core Procurement concepts, and the basics of financial management, helping learners understand how these apply in practice within a Procurement team.

This course is for Procurement staff who are new to, or want a practical refresher on, contract management. It will explain what contracts are, why they matter, and their critical role within the NHS. You will also develop skills required to work successfully with suppliers, combining technical knowledge with behavioural capability.
