Emotional wellbeing training for mental health crisis staff

These emotional wellbeing bite-sized sessions were developed by Samaritans and NHS England to help you support your own and others’ emotional health. Each session takes around 20 minutes and includes animations, models, interactive questions and space for self-reflection. The programme consists of a series of short, self-directed elearning sessions that can be completed alone or alongside the Samaritans Listening Skills and Emotional Health (LS) course. 

 

Intended audience 

These sessions are for anyone working in health and care settings who may support people in distress, including: 

  • Mental health crisis workforce 

  • Staff in community and acute services 

  • Ambulance and urgent care staff 

  • Children and young people’s mental health teams 

  • Wider health and care professionals interested in emotional wellbeing
