Teaching, training, and upskilling of others is an integral part of the role for neonatal AHPs. Sharing knowledge and skills with all staff in the neonatal MDT and parents/carers and families supports embedding AHP principles of care. Training and upskilling colleagues new to role and sharing expertise with students in your clinical area is an essential element of growing the neonatal AHP workforce. All these opportunities for sharing knowledge require a specific skill set, acquiring updated teaching skills including how to teach in the virtual classroom, write articles and papers, develop educational resources and prepare lesson plans. ELFH has a range of resources to support all areas of improving education, training and supervision skillset.
