RCGP Mental Health Placement Planning Toolkit (Demo)

A placement planning tool has the following aims for trainee GPs and their supervisors:

• To increase awareness about the work-based learning opportunities for mental health
• To make it easier to arrange shadowing and learning opportunities with different services whilst on placement
• To ensure that learning about mental health is ‘threaded’ through the different placements a trainee GP may experience
• To enhance work-based learning about mental health linked to the core capabilities for a trainee GP
• To encourage reflection and learning about mental health in primary care and community settings.
