NHSE Resident Doctors e-Learning resource in relation to Outpatient Transformation

This e-learning package is intended for use by anyone who will need to run an outpatient clinic but is mainly aimed at resident doctors.  This is an initiative launched in the North East & Yorkshire region and has been co-written with resident doctors and consultant GIRFT leads within our region.

We understand that resident doctors get little or no training in relation to outpatients and therefore we have worked with a small group of resident doctors and local stakeholders to produce this e-learning material.  Please note that this training is not mandatory but we hope by undertaking this you will be better prepared for your clinics.

The package is split into 2 areas - operational and practical.

The operational areas concentrate on why we need to transform outpatients and provides some detail on some of the transformational areas.

The practical modules look at recommendations / advice for preparing and running a clinic; writing outpatient letters.

The modules include links to further reading / guidance informative videos for participants to review.
