Personal Health Budgets

Personal Health Budgets (PHBs) is a learning programme that introduces how NHS funding can be used more flexibly to support personalised care and support planning. The programme explains the core principles of PHBs and how they help people of all ages have greater choice and control over how their assessed health and wellbeing needs are met. It consists of one eLearning session

 

Intended audience 

This programme is for all staff involved in delivering, coordinating or supporting personalised care, including those working with: 

  • Adults receiving NHS Continuing Healthcare 

  • Children and young people eligible for continuing care 

  • People entitled to aftercare under section 117 of the Mental Health Act 

  • Individuals entitled to an NHS wheelchair 

  • Anyone supporting personalised care and support planning
