Tobacco Dependence Treatment - Inpatient Training package

As part of the NHS Long Term Plan commitments to introduce secondary prevention into the NHS, new tobacco dependence treatment services are being established across England to support all inpatients (acute and mental health) accessing services.
To support the rollout and facilitate the upskilling of a new tobacco dependence treatment workforce, NHS England commissioned the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSCT) to develop training resources specific to the secondary care inpatient settings.

These new training resources and guidance have been developed to support local systems to develop their local Tobacco Dependence workforce when treating tobacco dependent patients admitted overnight to an acute or mental health hospital.
