Tourette Syndrome

A lot of what we know about Tourette Syndrome is what we have seen in the media but in fact, in reality, Tourette's presents very differently. Our information will dispel lots of the myths that surrounds Tourette’s and show the true reality of the condition and how it affects those living with it. Our course will explain what Tourette Syndrome is, the prevalence of TS, misconceptions that surround it and other tic disorders.  The symptoms of TS, what are motor and vocal tics, how these are defined into simple and complex categories, what is the coprophenomena and what are repetition and hidden tics.  The co-occurring features and differences that can also accompany TS and how these affect the individual.  What Impact TS has on an individual from a physical and emotional level. Details of the support available for people with TS, their families and friends and anyone supporting them.
