Working Together: Personality Disorder in Primary Care is an accredited eLearning package for Primary Care Staff and GPs to develop skills and knowledge to support and enhance their work with patients who have Complex Emotional Needs, often associated with a diagnosis of ‘Personality Disorder’.

The training was co-produced by experts by experience, GPs and mental health clinicians. It enables learners to develop relational skills whilst thinking about patients’ needs, making referrals, providing long-term support in Primary Care, considering medication, self-harm, suicide, risk, and co-occurring needs.

Working Together: Personality Disorder in Primary Care was previously accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), with accreditation valid until 28 August 2025. The RCGP Accreditation Quality Mark was a symbol of quality assurance that recognised educational activities demonstrating professionalism, expertise, and a commitment to the highest standards of general practice. During the period of accreditation, this training was independently assessed and met the criteria for a consistent and high-quality learning resource for GPs—supporting risk reduction, and saving time and cost.
