Implicit Bias – An interactive e-learning course
This course, including all modules, should take approximately 50-60 minutes to complete. Some learners may require additional time.
Implicit bias refers to attitudes or stereotypes that unconsciously influence our understanding, actions, and decisions. These biases are automatic, unintentional, and can occur without awareness, shaped by our background, cultural environment, and personal experiences.
Participants will learn to identify their own implicit biases and explore the principles of practical strategies to mitigate the impact of unconscious bias in both personal and professional settings leading to more conscious and equitable decision-making processes.
Learning Outcomes:
- Increased awareness of unconscious bias - Participants will develop a thorough understanding of unconscious bias, including its definition, underlying psychological mechanisms.
- Recognising implicit bias - Participants will learn to identify their own implicit biases.
- Strategies for mitigating bias - Participants will explore the principles of practical strategies to mitigate the impact of unconscious bias in both personal and professional settings.
