Learner Support in Practice
This resource is intended for practice educators (working in healthcare) and academics in practice and programme teams (working in education). It includes:
1) Inclusive practice training slides for Practice Educator Training and Academic in Practice Training (available below)
2) Guidance on inclusive learner support in practice aligned to NHS Safe Learning Environment Charter and the EDI Golden thread (coming soon).
3) Inclusive learning resources for healthcare learners as part of 'preparation for practice' (more resources coming soon)
The guide covers key areas for improvement in practice education along with good practice examples and includes:
- Supporting self-efficacy and building confidence in learners
- Offering effective reporting systems to raise concerns
- Transparency and continuous monitoring
- Learner journey maps - a general view of learner journey with opportunities to offer support

All resources incorporate the Inclusive Training within Practice Project’s two golden threads and three key themes:
