Inclusive Practice Training Slides for Practice Education
Educator training or updates is an opportunity to raise awareness of leaner experience and outcomes and the levels of racial disparities in healthcare practice education. It is also an opportunity to share the actions educators can take to create inclusive spaces and ways to better support learners.
Our research and insights have shown that educators may not be aware of the challenges learners experience during their studies and during healthcare placements and may not be familiar with learner and workforce data in relation to racial disparities. Insights have also shown educators may not have the confidence or know the actions they can take in their daily practice to support learners who experience racism or discrimination.
Seperate training slides are available for two types of audences; Pratice Educators (working in healthcare) and for Academics in Pratice (working in education). Slides can be offered in their entirety as an additional resource or specific slides may be embedded into local training offer.
