Core Skills Training Framework

The Core Skills Training Framework was first developed in 2013 with a number of updates and versions created since then. For 11 subjects, it references the legislation, regulation and policy and sets out the learning outcomes, the target audience, the learning outcomes, the frequency for refresher training or assessments of competence and the standards for delivery methods.

The latest version of the CSTF (v1.1 England) was produced in partnership between Health Education England (now part of NHS England) and Skills for Health (who have worked with other parties to produce other versions).
