This guide is a new resource aimed at helping people who work in the social care sector to prevent illness, protect health, and promote well-being as part of their everyday practice. The information below will help adult social care workers in registered and unregistered services recognise their role in public health and improve care by using public health approaches. The Royal Society for Public Health, in partnership with the social care sector, has developed the following ten tips to increase the confidence and skills of people working in the social care sector. These tips aim to embed public health in their day-to-day practice and help improve people’s health and well-being outcomes.
