Learner Support in Practice

This resource is intended for practice educators (working in healthcare) and academics in practice and programme teams (working in education). It includes:

1) Inclusive practice training slides for Practice Educator Training and Academic in Practice Training (available below)

2) A learning package on racial bias in healthcare for learners (coming soon)

3) Guide to inclusive support for learners in practice (coming soon).

The guide covers key areas for improvement in practice education along with good practice examples and includes:

  • Supporting self-efficacy and building confidence in learners
  • Offering effective reporting systems to raise concerns
  • Transparency and continuous monitoring
  • Learner journey maps - general view of learner journey with opportunities to offer support
